Do you have an Impact Report?
Each year, Heartland Independent Living Center assembles an Impact Report to share with consumers, donors, and invested community partners. The report provides an overview of how HILC generates revenue and how that revenue is spent on consumer programming. See our impact reports.
How is Heartland ILC governed?
We have a Board of Directors that currently includes James Brinkman, President; Denny Huff, Vice President; Jamie Mercer; Debra Brock; and Jess Fries.
What insurance do you accept?
Many of our services are provided at no cost. For those that do cost, we accept MO HealthNet (Medicaid), Veterans Administration Benefits, and some private insurance. Eligibility for certain programs, like Consumer Directed Services, requires you to be eligible for MO HealthNet. Contact us for more information.
How can I get care?
To get started, contact our Intake Specialist, (573) 861-2273. The process will include a screening to understand your needs and eligibility, the development of a care plan, and service and caregiver selection (if applicable). We will help from start to finish and even provide ongoing support.
Are you a nursing facility?
No, Heartland ILC is not a nursing facility. HILC is a non-residential organization that provides services and support to help individuals with disabilities live independently in their own homes and communities.
